Privacy policy
LOK.GG has no accounts and never asks for your name or email. This page explains what other data is involved.
Last updated 2026-10-28
1. Information we collect directly
There is no login or sign-up. Names and URLs typed into the search box are used only to build the page you asked for and are not stored.
When you like or dislike a build, we store the vote together with a one-way hash of your IP address. It is used only to stop the same person voting on a build more than once; the IP address itself is never stored.
2. Information collected automatically
The site runs on Cloudflare. Your IP address, browser type and the URL you requested stay briefly in Cloudflare's security and performance logs. They are used only to block attacks and investigate outages, never to identify you.
3. Visit statistics
Page views are counted with Google Analytics. We only look at aggregate numbers, and Google masks IP addresses before storing them. Browser tracking protection or Google's Analytics opt-out add-on removes you from the count.
4. Ads and cookies
Hosting is paid for with Google AdSense. Google may use cookies for interest-based ads; you can turn personalised ads off in Google's ad settings. The site itself sets no cookies. Language lives in the URL. Build planner drafts and the marker for your own likes and dislikes stay only in your browser's storage.
5. Third-party services
- deadlock-api.com: the source of all match data. We only read from it and send nothing back.
- Steam: player names and avatars come from public Steam profiles.
- Cloudflare: hosting, security and vote storage.
- Google: analytics and ads.
6. Player data and removal
Match history shown here is public data from accounts that have match data sharing enabled in the game. To stop appearing:
- Turn off match data sharing in the in-game settings; later matches will not reach the source.
- Set your Steam profile to private; your name and avatar disappear from this site as well.
- Removal of matches already collected must be requested from deadlock-api.com. This site caches data for at most 24 hours, so anything removed at the source is gone within a day.
7. Retention
Build votes are stored in a Cloudflare database as build ID, vote, hash and time only, and are deleted when you withdraw the vote. Data from the source is cached for five minutes to 24 hours and then discarded automatically.
8. Children
The site is not directed at children under 14 and collects nothing that would reveal a visitor's age.
9. Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top is updated. Major changes are also announced on the home page.
